The CSLR has hosted it's first Open Day.

Some pictures below show some of the visiting engines, their drivers and associated crew.

Marklin Gauge One - This pacific loco and train ran smooth as silk around the CSLR metals, massive, controllable power.SDF crew, and one who came to watch (he's 32mm), but brought his own beer so was allowed to stay till the end.If you can see around the glare caused by the wonderful sunshine, these three unlikely compatriots were all drivers on the day. It's the glare again, this time highlighting a much more pleasant view.A close up view of the Marklin.Argyll and a Mini-Train, rolled in from Worthing.

'Mallard' from the SDF in Lymington showed the youngsters how to be in charge of a train.A good display from the Pearce.Another Marklin, er, thing. Meth's fired, blower and all, runs like a dream once we caught it and put the lineside fires out....SDF Engineer-in-Charge prepares his engine.#59 is a Pearce Consolidation hails from the Totton White Pass, well behaved and put in many fine runs.#59 gets a little love and affection.

An Aster Lion - roared around the track very nicely thankyou.

Some additional shots by Chris Allenby..........
